JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate part time Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support providers with both clinical and administrative duties, ensuring efficient patient flow and high quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform patient intake, including obtaining medical histories and updating patient information Record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature. respiratory rate, weight, EKG, etc.) Perform phlebotomy (blood draws) and prepare specimens for lab processing. Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures. Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider. Prepare and clean exam rooms before and after patient visits. Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record EPIC system. Handle basic administrative tasks such as scheduling, answering phones, and patient check in/check out. Maintain infection control and safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Medical assistant certification preferred. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Experience with EHR System preferably (EPIC) Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask at in a fast-paced clinical environment. Friendly, professional demeanor with patients and staff.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
We are a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting requiring teamwork, efficiency, and strong attention to detail. As a small team, this is a hands-on role where all staff members work closely together and support one another to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent patient care.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
