Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Company Overview:
St Clair Nephology is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. This position works under the supervision of physicians and advanced practitioners to provide high-quality medical support and exceptional service to our patients.
Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant will assist in clinical and administrative tasks to support daily operations, ensure smooth patient flow, and uphold the highest standards of care in our facility. This position is located primarily in our Detroit office, but will have opportunity for coverage at our other office locations!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and room patients for exams, measuring and recording vital signs including weight, blood pressure, and temperature. Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed. Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked. Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment. Support front office functions and perform other administrative duties as needed. Observes and accurately documents the provider- patient appointment within the EMR. Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of Personal Health Information (PHI). Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Certification as a Medical Assistant (required) 1+ years of experience in a medical or clinical setting (preferred) Scribing experience preferred. Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Strong organizational and computer skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
