Your priority will always be clinical duties, however, during periods of downtime it will be expected that you assist with office cross-trained duties. Administrative duties may include, but are not limited to: Inventory management and ordering, greeting patients as they arrive, checking them in for their appointments, and ensuring appropriate paperwork is completed prior to appointment. Following up with the patient upon completion of services to check them out, schedule next visit, and assist with any retail sales. Ensuring that the patient feels welcomed and assisted, as needed, during all encounters of their visit while in the lobby. Answering phones, scheduling patients, scanning and relaying documents as needed and ensuring the lobby is appropriately stocked with retail items, performing confirmation calls for the following business day, and assisting with other clerical and medical office duties. Clinical duties may include, but are not limited to, assessing and making appropriate documentation within the patient's chart of their medical history, allergies, medication and supplement list; recording patient vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the provider during examinations. When necessary, you may also administer intramuscular (IM) injections, monitor and remove IV's, and process prescriptions to be filled at the patient's preferred pharmacy (with provider supervision). Assisting provider workflow by cleaning, stocking and flipping rooms in-between patients. Performing lab draws. Bringing patients to designated treatment rooms and taking vitals and appropriate intake questions. Numbing patients before select procedures and assisting the team in room setups prior to procedural treatment. Key duties &
Responsibilities:
Check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients in accordance with HIPPA Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments Assist Provider with medical treatments, procedures, and treatments Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip providers' rooms with appropriate supplies Clean consultation rooms prior to taking patient into the room, cleaning consultation rooms after usage Supports the day-to-day operational needs with priority of patient experience, and supporting providers during appointments Demonstrates exemplary customer service while upholding patient satisfaction Responsible for maintaining the inventory of office supplies including promotional materials Ensures the waiting room is inviting to patients and effectively communicates with entering and exiting patients Constantly assess patient wait time verse appointment time and proactively relay the findings to the Providers and patients Upholds and presents a polished, professional image at all times, to include, attire, verbal communications, and job performance Demonstrates flexibility and teamwork in managing the needs of the Medical Staff and Front Office Staff Acts with integrity to maintain patient confidentiality and maximize doctor and patient satisfaction May be cross-trained to fulfill the responsibilities of other team members Performs related duties and activities as requested. QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times Highly organized and efficient Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times Works well under pressure and does not waiver in working as a team Comfortable asking for help when needed Exercises sound decision making. Commitment to ethical conduct Must be able to work 24-32 hours/week
