As physiatrists (physical medicine & rehabilitation physician) our physicians specialize in the rehabilitation of medically complex patients, particularly children and those with chronic pain. The office pace is moderate but steady, with a practice model that targets high-complexity patients as opposed to high volume.

Responsibilities:

Greets and registers the patient, ensures the patient completes all necessary forms, obtains demographic and insurance information, collects co-payment and adds or updates basic patient account information. Schedules new and follow-up patient appointments. Answers telephone and takes messages. Responds to patient queries and concerns in a professional manner and direct to appropriate staff member. Send referrals to appropriate sources. Obtain authorizations as needed. Escort patients to exam rooms, take vitals, perform drug tests, and chaperone as necessary. Work under guidance of office manager to follow departmental policies and procedures. Assist with the facility dogs.
