Job Description

Job Summary We are a high-traffic, patient-centered, integrative medical practice seeking an enthusiastic and interested Medical Assistant with phlebotomy experience for our fast-paced/busy IV and blood draw area. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working in an office setting, feel confident in their phlebotomy skills, testing, charting, and handling patient concerns. He/She would have a natural passion for patient care and should also have an interest in holistic and integrative medicine, wishing to pursue a career in which patients come first. To learn more about our practice and our team members, check out our website: www.nhicwestmi.com Possible Responsibilities and Duties Support the IV department by providing phlebotomy and nutritional IV administration. Draw and process lab work as ordered by physicians. Support the general success of the medical lines through teamwork and dedication. Work closely with the physicians, by communicating recommendations, taking questions from patients, and documenting completely and accurately in the patient chart. Work closely with the other medical staff to handle all workflow in the IV department, dividing workload, and keeping patients well-serviced. Explain testing options and provide patient education, as directed by the physician. Qualifications and Skills A graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program Proficient in phlebotomy, we will train the right candidate BLS training and certification Dedicated and dependable Ability to learn and work quickly in a busy environment An interest in holistic care and a career in a private practice Benefits The NHIC offers medical health insurance and weekly stat bonuses after the 90-Day orientation, along with: 401(k) with match Paid holidays Employee discounts Earned PTO begins accruing at start date.
