Flexible schedule A busy, high-quality private primary care office is seeking a dependable, professional, and detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Receptionist / Medical Assistant to join our patient-centered team. This position is ideal for someone who has strong front-desk medical office experience, enjoys helping patients, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced primary care setting.Preferred experience:
Prior experience in a busy private primary care or specialty medical office Epic EHR experience strongly preferred Insurance verification and eligibility checking Patient check-in and check-out Collecting copays, deductibles, and patient balances Scheduling, rescheduling, and managing provider templates Answering phones and handling patient messages professionally Prior authorization, referral, and medical form experience helpful Basic medical assistant skills preferred but not required Responsibilities include: Greeting patients warmly and professionally Verifying insurance before visits Updating demographics, insurance, pharmacy, and contact information in EPIC Collecting copays and outstanding balances at time of service Scheduling follow-up visits and care-management appointments Managing phone calls, portal messages, faxes, and patient requests Helping reduce no-shows through confirmation and follow-up processes Supporting providers, medical assistants, and care-management staff Maintaining HIPAA-compliant, accurate, and organized documentation The ideal candidate is: Friendly, calm, and professional with patients Reliable and punctual Comfortable multitasking in a busy office Detail-oriented with insurance and scheduling Able to communicate clearly with patients and staff Comfortable enforcing office policies respectfully A team player who understands the importance of excellent patient service and accurate front-desk workSchedule:
