Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing thorough and exceptional patient care with precision and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in an outpatient primary care environment. Responsibilities Ensure an efficient patient flow; room patients in a timely manner, complete vital signs, complete required screenings and complete medication reviews Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms In accordance with state regulations, MAs will administer vaccinations, perform point of care tests, EKGs, injections, etc. Perform specimen collection and processing using aseptic technique Assist with patient care activities such as taking vital signs and recording patient information accurately Prepare patients and conduct laboratory procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process Maintain proper documentation of patient data within our electronic medical record system in compliance with healthcare regulations Support clinical staff with administrative and laboratory support Ensure a clean, organized, and sterile environment daily adhering to safety standards Demonstrate knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to primary care Provide excellent patient service by communicating effectively and compassionately Qualifications Prior experience Medical Assistant position (min of three (3) years). Familiarity with vital signs measurement and basic patient care practices necessary Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques Healthcare facility experience required Proficiency in navigating EMR and computer/internet resources Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and teamwork Ability to follow detailed protocols accurately and maintain high standards of safety and hygiene Certification as Medical Assistant highly favorable.
