Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your energetic and compassionate approach will directly impact patient care and clinic operations. In this vital role, you will support physicians and healthcare providers across diverse medical specialties. Your expertise in clinical procedures, administrative support, and patient engagement will help ensure seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic workflows. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories and documenting current symptoms accurately. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to monitor patient health status. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes clearly and ensuring their comfort. Support clinical procedures including medication administration, wound care, X-ray preparation, and basic life support (BLS) when applicable. Operate and maintain Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient information efficiently and securely. Perform clerical duties including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and providing excellent patient service in a variety of clinical settings. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic medical procedures. Experience working in urgent care setting. Proficiency with EHR systems for accurate documentation and efficient workflow management. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking X-rays, administering medications safely, measuring vital signs, and supporting procedures. Excellent patient service skills with a caring attitude that reassures patients during stressful situations. Familiarity with intake procedures for diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients. Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced environments.
