Job Description

About Our Practice Rosewood Healthcare is a patient-centered primary care practice dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate healthcare to individuals and families in our community. Our team values collaboration, professionalism, and creating a welcoming environment for both patients and staff. A qualified medical assistant works with a provider as a Care Team to deliver one-on-one care for our patients. Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. The ideal candidate will provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient office operations and excellent patient care. This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Rosewood is open Monday through Friday. Work in the aesthetic field may also be required.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties:
Room patients and obtain vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight) Document of patient history and chief complaints in the EMR Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection Manage med refills and medical testing results per provider protocol Provide patient education and follow-up instructions Prior Authorization and referral knowledge
Administrative Duties:
Schedule appointments Follow up on prescription refills from the patient and pharmacy Maintain accurate medical records GAPs of care responsibilities Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations Respond to and tasks within the EMR Qualifications Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred BLS/CPR certification required Minimum 2 year of experience in a primary care setting preferred Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Knowledge of commonly prescribed medications Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance What We Offer Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off
