What You'll Be Doing:
Assist providers and nursing staff with patient preparation and care coordination Gather and document patient information to support clinical decision-making Float to provide Medical Assistant coverage as needed for expected and unexpected absences Maintain clinical work areas, equipment, and supplies Support efficient patient flow and clinic operations Ensure accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HCC policies and procedures Demonstrate professionalism and compassion in all patient and staff interactions Perform other duties as assigned in support of clinic operations
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required Current Medical Assistant Certification preferred Current CPR certification preferred - training available
Special Skills and Abilities:
Basic clinical knowledge and skill level appropriate to education and training Ability to seek, accept, and utilize supervision appropriately Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to document accurately and appropriately Basic knowledge of age-specific patient care considerations Basic computer skills Working knowledge of insurance types Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team Flexibility and reliability to support float coverage needs
