Job Description

Job Overview Michigan Primary Care Partners is seeking a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The Medical Assistant plays an important role in supporting providers and ensuring patients receive efficient, high-quality care. This position is responsible for assisting with patient rooming, documentation in the electronic medical record, clinical procedures, and patient education while maintaining a professional and patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting while collaborating with providers and staff to support excellent patient care. Responsibilities Room patients and prepare them for examination by obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical history, and patient concerns in the electronic medical record (EMR) Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information, provider instructions, and follow-up care in the EMR Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications, treatments, and care plans Assist with coordination of care, including scheduling follow-up appointments and communicating provider recommendations Follow clinic policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards Support quality improvement measures and clinical workflows within the practice Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure a positive patient experience and efficient clinic operations Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and staff Hands-on experience with EHR systems for documentation and scheduling Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of accuracy Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with providers and clinical staff Ability to adapt to changes in workflow, policies, and clinical processes This paid position provides the opportunity to build and strengthen your clinical skills while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals.
