Medical Assistant Heart and Vascular Care, PC Rochester Hills, MI Job Details Full-time $16 - $18 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Computer skills Full Job Description We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine clinical duties, as well as help the front desk to keep the medical facility running smoothly. See job responsibilities listed below. Heart and Vascular Care, PC is located in Rochester Hills. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Room patients and obtain vital signs, including blood pressure (manual), heart rate, oxygen saturation, weight, and height. Obtain and document comprehensive medical histories, medication lists, allergies, and chief complaints Apply and remove event monitors Provide patient education regarding medications and diagnostic testing instructions. Refilling prescriptions & medication reconciliation. Perform EKGs Manage electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure accurate documentation Strong communication and patient education skills
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of medical assistant experience in a cardiology, internal medicine, family practice, or specialty clinic preferred. Experience performing EKGs and obtaining accurate vital signs. Strong patient communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail. EPIC knowledge is a plus Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills required.
