Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist, where your energy and dedication will directly enhance patient experiences and streamline clinic operations. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while supporting clinical staff with essential medical procedures. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth daily operations within a fast-paced medical environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across various medical specialties, including dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, and outpatient clinics. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Collect and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit with accuracy and professionalism Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and other vital measurements Prepare examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and readiness for patient visits Support physicians and nurses with procedures including medication administration, X-ray assistance, or basic life support when needed Manage patient intake by gathering relevant medical information, updating records, and explaining clinic procedures clearly Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing ICD coding for diagnoses, and maintaining organized patient files Requirements Prior experience in a clinical setting such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or emergency medicine is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding standards to accurately document patient encounters Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient data entry and record management Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations Experience working in specialized environments like dermatology clinics, Geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Level I/II trauma centers is advantageous Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including inpatient and outpatient care Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs accurately and supporting medication administration procedures Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced setting Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while advancing your career in a supportive and energetic environment.
