Job Description

About us Edgewater Family Health is a growing, independent, private physician-operated primary care medical clinic in Saint Joseph, Michigan. We pride ourselves on providing top quality medical care in an agile, supportive, office setting. We encourage professional development, continued education, and staff collaboration. We are looking for a motivated, engaged, Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. Our Medical Assistants work directly with our three physicians and nursing support team to ensure each patient receives the highest quality care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing patient care, assisting with examinations and treatments, and helping to maintain a clean and organized medical office. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with patient intake and perform vital signs and other assessments as directed by the physician. Assist with minor medical procedures. Provide patient education and support. Administer medications and immunizations as directed by the physician. Patient lab draws Communicate with patients via phone or online message system, regarding upcoming appointments, lab results, and treatment plans. Requirements/Recommended Prerequisites Completion, or currently enrolled in, an accredited Medical Assistant program Motivated Candidates who are in the process of enrolling may be considered Certification or Registration from National Body, such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) , is recommended Completion of high school diploma Completion of Associates degree recommended Electronic Medical Records-EPIC a plus
