Medical Assistant Responsibilities Greet patients and record their medical history, as well as taking their vitals such as blood pressure and weight. Give patients injections and/or medication as directed by physicians and state law. Assist physicians by preparing patient charts and gathering any past lab and procedure results. Accurately fill out letters, faxes, and forms Take voicemails and return patient calls promptly Medical Assistant Qualifications The medical assistant full-time schedule would be: Monday-Thursday 8:30 am-5 pm, and rotating half-day Fridays 2 times per month. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Previous medical assistant experience is preferred, but not required. Employees must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have reliable transportation.
