Full Job Description Job Summary:
Ear, Nose & Throat Consultants (ENTC), with multiple locations throughout Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb Counties, is seeking motivated and patient-focused individuals to join our growing team as a full-time Medical Assistant supporting our ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery services. This role is essential to delivering an exceptional patient experience throughout the patient journey, including both medical ENT care and cosmetic/plastic surgery services. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Prior experience in ENT, facial plastics, cosmetic surgery, dermatology, med spa, or aesthetics is preferred. This position requires on-site clinical support and cannot be performed remotely.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Demonstrate kindness and compassion in all patient interactions Help patients by providing information, services, and assistance Verify patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit Assist physicians with in-office ENT procedures and facial plastic/cosmetic procedures as needed Triage and room patients in an efficient manner to maximize clinical-flow Prepare patients, room, and supplies for visit or examination Send prescriptions electronically to pharmacy Making sure all exam rooms are well stocked & organized Assisting with ordering supplies Sterilization, sanitization & logs Room prep & tear down Assisting physicians as needed during clinic Calling patients to go over results or answer questions on behalf of the physician Filing patient documents & alerting physician of new patient results Order imaging and lab tests Monitor incoming patient information and notify providers of critical updates Assist physicians and clinical staff throughout daily operations to ensure efficient patient care delivery
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Preferred experience in Otolaryngology. Preferred previous experience in ENT, facial plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, dermatology, aesthetics, or related specialty. Preferred CMA or RMA certification.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least three years' related medical assistant experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
