Job Description
MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Rooms patients and ensures that appropriate patient information/consents are obtained Prioritizes meticulous documentation for every patient interaction, to include any exchange by phone Scribes for the provider with accuracy and efficiency Calls patients with lab and pathology results; Answers any questions from patients regarding their results E-scribes prescriptions and/or refills to each patient's pharmacy per provider's instructions Maintains patient confidentiality and data integrity in accordance with HIPAA Understands and follows OSHA standards of compliance Strives for excellence in all aspects of patient care Works well as a team member, and is motivated to seek professional growth Displays initiative and flexibility in eventually learning additional office roles. Locations in Traverse City, Cadillac, and Kalkaska. Flexibility of working in all locations is preferred, but not required Qualifications- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology
- Experience in a Dermatology setting preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with EMR systems and medical records management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical skills
