Medical Assistant Minimally Invasive Pain Specialists PLLC Warren, MI Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) 401(k) matching Qualifications Medical scheduling Administrative experience Medical administrative support Patient interaction Time management Full Job Description As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the pain management office. You will support the doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Responsibilities Greet patient with a friendly demeanor and make their visit comfortable Interview patients and document basic medical history Organize and schedule new consults, follow-up visits, procedures, and prescription refill appointments Update and file medical records and insurance reports Arrange laboratory services and X-ray, MRI, or CT scan appointments at other facilities Answer phone or email messages from patients and update their charts Assist during medical examinations or procedures (record vital signs, prepare procedure trays, help the doctor move the x-ray machine, clean room between patients, administer some medications) Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant. Will consider newly graduated MAs Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in MS Office and Google Forms Degree in medical assistance
