  • 6:00 PM Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a 20-week contract assignment in Kalamazoo, MI.
This role supports both front and back office operations while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a patient-focused approach to care. Candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, and patients across multiple functions. Key Responsibilities Support both front and back office clinical operations Greet, room, and assist patients during appointments Schedule patient appointments and manage incoming calls Take and document patient vital signs accurately Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures Conduct EKGs and Point-of-Care (POC) testing Maintain accurate documentation within EMR systems Provide additional clinical support as needed Collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare staff Ensure a positive patient experience through professionalism and communication Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship) 2-3 years of overall healthcare experience preferred Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred Occupational Health experience strongly preferred Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required EMR experience required BLS or CPR Certification required Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment Required Skills Front & Back Office Support Phlebotomy / Venipuncture EKG Point-of-Care (POC) Testing Patient Scheduling Rooming Patients Taking Vital Signs EMR Documentation
