Job Description

Job description OBGYN WEST, with clinic locations in Minnetonka, Chaska, Eden Prairie, and Waconia is seeking a full-time Medical (Clinical) Assistant (MA/CMA/RMA). This role is vital to our practice in delivering exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about women's healthcare and enjoy working with people. The position will be assigned to work in all clinic locations, and hours may range from 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. Previous experience as a medical assistant is preferred, as are phlebotomy skills. Chaska and Waconia are primary locations for this role, however, travel to Eden Prairie and/or Minnetonka may be necessary based on staffing needs. $1,000 signing bonus will be payable upon successful completion of 90 days of employment. Duties and Responsibilities Collect thorough medical information, vital signs and labwork Perform required lab skills (fingersticks, injections, urinalysis, phlebotomy) Process in-house labs Provide patient education Accurate documentation in electronic health record Complies with CLIA and OSHA regulations Complies with HIPAA and Patient Confidentiality regulations Maintains an organized and safe environment in the lab and exam room Ordering and stocking of supplies Qualifications High School Diploma required, completion of Medical Assistant or associate degree in science with Medical Assistant training is preferred. One year clinic experience is preferred. Skilled in computer operation, lab processes and medical terminology Ability to work well with patients and co-workers in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
