Medical Imaging Assistant, On Call

Job Overview Fairview Range is hiring a Medical Imaging Assistant (on call) for our Diagnostic Imaging Department team in Hibbing, MN. The Fairview Range Imaging Departments strive to support each other and our patients through interdisciplinary collaboration and the goal of making a difference in our patient's health. The Medical Imaging Assistant is responsible for providing diagnostic imaging support for patients with the knowledge and ability to collect information, assess, and intervene as appropriate in the care of patients. Coordinates and works with the other members of the patient care team by performing a variety of administrative and clinical functions. Responsibilities include rooming patients, health history, documenting in an electronic medical record, assisting technologists and RNs, and other duties as assigned.

Schedule:

Hours as needed. Day/evening, weekends as needed.

As a Medical Imaging Assistant, you will: Documentation and Charting. Documents orders accurately in accordance with RRHS's policies and procedures. Notifies staff of new or changed orders promptly. Responsible for documenting patient history, information, and encounters. Direct Patient Care. Obtains health history from the patient. Sanitizing medical supplies and disposing of materials that have been used. Prepares patient for exam and explains to the patient in laymen's terms. Cleaning and stocking of supplies for the exam rooms.
