Responsibilities:
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
  • Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for practitioners
  • Greet patients and provide them with necessary paperwork and forms
  • Verify patient information and insurance coverage
  • Maintain patient records and update them as necessary
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the office, including miscellaneous administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting including insurance verification is a plus
  • Proficiency in using computers, phone systems, and other office equipment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is beneficial This position requires a professional demeanor, as well as the ability to work well with patients, medical professionals, and other staff members.
The successful candidate will be reliable, punctual, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
