We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant to support a busy outpatient specialty clinic. This role is responsible for patient intake, clinical support, scheduling, EMR documentation, and communication with patients and providers to ensure efficient clinic operations and exceptional patient care.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
+ Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information. + Schedule diagnostic testing, procedures, and follow-up appointments. + Manage electronic in-basket messages and patient communications. + Answer incoming patient phone calls and assist with questions or requests. + Accurately document patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR). + Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinic staff to coordinate patient care. + Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all organizational policies and procedures. + Support daily clinic operations to ensure efficient patient flow and quality service.
- Qualifications
- + Current Medical Assistant Certification required.
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant. + Experience obtaining vital signs, patient histories, and supporting outpatient clinical workflows. + Strong computer skills and experience working within an electronic medical record system. + Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills. + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Previous cardiology experience. + Experience using Epic EMR. + Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail.
- Work Environment
- + Outpatient clinical setting. + Scrubs preferred (no specific color requirement). + In-person patient interaction and administrative support responsibilities.
