Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team at our Minnetonka Clinic. This person will be committed to deliver exceptional care and creating a positive experience for our young patients and their families.
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct pediatric medical assisting duties, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and assisting physicians during examinations. Perform laboratory tasks, ensuring accurate specimen collection, processing, and documentation. Utilize phlebotomy skills for blood draws and specimen collection from pediatric patients. Limited Scope X-ray Operator is preferred; the ability to perform basic X-ray procedures is a significant advantage. Nebulizer treatment and pediatric catheterization. Willingness to travel to other clinic locations as needed is required. Availability for evening and weekend hours to accommodate patient needs.
Qualifications:
Highschool diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, LPN, or current Medical Assistant certification (AAMA or AMT). Similar qualifications may be considered. BLS/CPR certification. X-ray certification (Rad Tech preferred) Proficient in phlebotomy techniques and laboratory procedures with the pediatric population. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Schedule:
4-day work week (one day off during the week), 7:45 am
  • 5:00 p.m., one day 7:45 am
  • 7:00 pm Saturday (once to twice per month), 8:45 am
  • 12:00 pm
