This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive experience for patients and families. Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, height/weight, and medical history Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments Administer immunizations and medications as directed and within scope of practice Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., rapid strep, flu, COVID, urinalysis) Provide patient and caregiver education on medications, treatments, and preventive care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Manage patient flow, including rooming, discharge instructions, and follow-up scheduling Clean and stock exam rooms; ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment Handle phone calls, messages, and prescription refill requests as appropriate Front office tasks, including scheduling, check-in/check-out, taking payments, etc. Work Environment & Schedule Outpatient pediatric clinic setting Daytime hours, 8 am to 5 pm No evenings, weekends or holidays Frequent interaction with children, infants, and families Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move between exam rooms for extended periods Ability to lift and assist pediatric patients as needed Manual dexterity for clinical tasks and computer use Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage based on experience Full time benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid time off Opportunities for training and professional growth Requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to be certified Knowledge of pediatric care principles and immunization schedules Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families Ability to multitask and remain organized and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems Preferred Qualifications Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) Previous experience in pediatrics or primary care Experience with eClinicalWorks Bilingual (e.g., Spanish/English) Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Gmail and other online applications About the Company Join a dedicated pediatric care team committed to promoting the health and well-being of children in a supportive, family-centered environment.
