Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our providers and ensuring patients receive high-quality care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This position is essential to maintaining efficient clinic operations and preparing eye care patients for their appointments with our doctors. Responsibilities Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care, including preparing patients for examinations and procedures. Administer prescribed eye drops as directed. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation using appropriate medical terminology. Support both clinical and administrative teams with patient scheduling, rooming, and data collection. Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff to enhance the overall patient experience. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Order clinical supplies and monitor inventory levels. Assist with basic clinical procedures as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Understanding of medical terminology or the ability to learn it quickly. Experience in, or familiarity with, clinical patient care processes preferred. Knowledge of geriatric care practices is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision. Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and support compliance with healthcare standards. Ability to learn through a hybrid training format that includes online, in-person, classroom, and hands-on instruction. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred. Comfortable learning new technology and navigating multiple computer programs simultaneously. Why Join Us?
