RESPONSIBILITES
Seating patients and performing initial portion of examination for ophthalmologist or optometrist, including medical history, chief complain and initial eye testing. Assist with scheduling, check-in and check-out procedures. Handling phone calls relating to triage patients care, pharmacy, and laboratory orders and scheduling. Exhibit courteous and professional manner in all office dealings and maintain strict confidentiality standards. Training to become Certified Ophthalmic Assistant is offered.
REQUIREMENTS
Certification preferred but not required Excellent written/verbal communication skills Strict attention to detail and document Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time Ability to lift/stretch/bend in providing patient care Proven ability to work well in a TEAM oriented environment. Adherence to HIPAA requirements and company confidentiality and privacy policies.
