Duties Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and assisting with physical assessments when needed. Manage patient intake processes, including scheduling appointments, updating electronic health record (EHR) systems, and verifying insurance information. Support physicians and healthcare providers during procedures such as US guided injections or other specialized tests in office when needed. Ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding for diagnoses, and detailed notes on physiology and anatomy relevant to patient care. Performing prior authorizations via phone or electronically. Assisting with inbound calls and realying medication information to patients. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Experience as a Medical Assistant in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or similar environments. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures. Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in managing patient records efficiently. Prior experience not required but recommended Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings.
