Kansas City University (KCU) is adding to our Pathology team and is seeking a new Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology & Anatomical Sciences on the Kansas City campus. This individual will contribute to the education of students; engage in service opportunities to effectively and positively promote the University, the discipline, and the profession; and actively engage in the advancement of research and scholarly activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Use innovative teaching methods and the application of learning sciences in medical education Delivers lectures and active teaching sessions for assigned courses Develops curriculum with a focus on students' board preparation and overall professional development Creates and provides a detailed course syllabus that includes topics and learning objectives for each lecture or learning exercise Prepares exams and quizzes that effectively test students' mastery of course content Completes activities related to the student assessment process, including evaluating test questions, performing exam/quiz analysis, and submitting grades Conducts course evaluations, analyzes the data, and presents results, makes recommendations for changes, develops modifications, and implements improvements Provides service to the department and the University by serving on committees Provide student advising and mentoring, including office hours Engages in research/scholarly activity and continued professional development Participates in Admissions activities, Commencement, and White Coat ceremonies Understands accreditation standards and expectations specific to the department and adheres to policies and procedures to meet or exceed such standards Conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks Conducts oneself appropriately, professionally, and consistently in accordance with the philosophy and mission of

KCU Qualifications:
