Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and be proficient in various medical procedures. This role is essential in providing high-quality support to our medical staff and ensuring the best possible care for our patients. The Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall efficiency of our practice. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients. Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Prepare patients for examinations by taking medical histories and documenting relevant information. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians. Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Support various departments including Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Dermatology, Geriatrics, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as needed. Foster a positive patient service experience through effective communication and empathy. Experience Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. Previous experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting is preferred, particularly in Internal Medicine or Urgent Care environments. Strong knowledge of human physiology and medical terminology is essential. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
