We are seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing excellent patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Position Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant will play a key role in supporting our physicians and nurses in delivering quality nephrology care. This position involves direct patient interaction, clinical and administrative duties, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient service and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and organization Draw blood, collect urine specimens, and perform basic laboratory tests Administer medications and injections as directed by providers Schedule patient appointments, follow up on referrals, and verify insurance information Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and care instructions Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program CPR certification preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical setting (nephrology experience a plus) Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) (EPIC) systems Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
