Job Description

Who We Are NMPHC is a federally qualified health center that serves local communities with accessible and affordable health care for all! What You'll Do As a full-time Laboratory Tech/ Medical Assistant in Oxford, MS, you support safe, efficient patient care by keeping lab and clinical tasks accurate and organized. Responsibilities include collecting and handling specimens, performing basic lab testing and documentation, preparing patients and rooms for visits, taking vitals, assisting providers during exams, maintaining equipment and supplies, and following infection-control and quality standards.
Required qualifications/skills:
Medical Assistant training and/or laboratory experience Strong attention to detail and reliable follow-through Clear communication and respectful patient interaction Comfort with EHR documentation and routine computer use Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm Pay is $23/hr. Apply to be considered. Daily Workflow You begin by checking the clinic schedule, verifying orders, and getting rooms and lab areas ready to keep visits moving. During the day, you shift between patient flow and lab work, staying steady when it gets busy, updating charts and logs, and coordinating with providers and the front desk. You answer routine questions, restock essentials, and confirm specimens and results are labeled and tracked. Before leaving, you finish documentation, tidy and reset spaces, and set up for tomorrow.
