Medical Administrative Assistant

Our company is in need of a well-organized Medical Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for managing our patients' daily needs. The ideal candidate for this position has a background in obtaining prior authorizations, basic office functions, answering telephones, typing, scheduling, and great patient care. Occasional hands on patient care may be required. We're looking for an individual who is self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will handle customer relations, obtain prior authorizations, answer telephones, schedule patients, order supplies and be part of a team dedicated to our patients' health.

Responsibilities:

Create and maintain medical records for patients. Obtain intake history. Coordinate referall records. Answer telephones. Scheduling needs. Organize laboratory and diagnostic test results. Communicate with medical personnel about patient's condition and progress. Gather information from patients and their families. Miscellaneous tasks as necessary. Fill out insurance forms, claim forms, prior authorizations and other paperwork.
