Our diverse community serves as western Montana's hub for education and healthcare and offers the perfect blend of four-season outdoor recreation, small town charm and big city amenities. How you'll contribute Perform and report waived and moderately complex laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, and microbiology. Recognize problems, identify the cause (technical or instrumental) and make simple corrections by using preset strategies. Use and monitor quality control procedures within predetermined parameters. Performs all tasks in accordance with the Company's safety and compliance programs. Operate and communicate clearly on the phone and display good phone etiquette at all times. Operate a Laboratory Information System (LIS) Adherence to company safety regulations Perform phlebotomy duties as required, to include venipuncture and capillary techniques, using standard equipment such as vacutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, syringes and butterfly needles. Assure that requisition includes patient demographics and accurate required billing information. Transcribe physician orders Facilitate the unobserved collection of urine specimens. Interact directly with patients to obtain information for laboratory records, explain procedures, allay fears, and elicit cooperation. Process, label, and store specimen samples for subsequent analysis. Perform and document various quality control procedures to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations. Perform Med-Competence testing. Enter waived testing results into the LIS utilizing the manual entry mode. What we're looking for
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
3 Years or more of lab related experience to include 3 months practicum gained in clinical, hospital or lab setting. Prefer prior waived testing experience.
Certifications:
