A background in aesthetics, dermatology, or plastic surgery is strongly preferred. Medical Assistant Classification:

Hourly Schedule 8:15 am to 5:00 pm, alternating Monday-Wednesday and Wednesday-Friday Primary Responsibilities Review medical record and photos to anticipate needs and prepare patient visit Take patient photos and prepare layout boards Interview patient and communicate assessment to physician Assist development of aesthetic care plan appropriate for patient concerns Provide pricing information, secure informed consents for planned treatments Prepare injectables, lasers and devices for treatments Assist physician with treatment activities Provide and explain instructions for post procedure care Document orders, treatments, nursing care and patent results in paper charts Triage post procedure inquiries, review photos and answer patient questions Replenish and clean exam and procedure rooms throughout the day as needed. Handle prescriptions, refills, and on-site pre-procedure dispensing Order, stock and inventory supplies Ancillary Responsibilities Maintain expert knowledge of skin conditions, facial anatomy and aesthetic treatments Participate in staff meetings, in-services, fire and safety drills. Maintain complete records of training and continuing education. Education, Proficiencies and Experience Medical Assistant w/active, unrestricted North Carolina license. Minimum 12 months experience, dermatology in a private clinic setting preferred.
