What We Offer Novant Health Pediatrics After Hours Poplar Tent is seeking a PRN Certified Medical Assistant for their after hours clinic!

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 5:00pm-9:00pm Saturday/Sunday 10:00am-6:00pm - 16 hours/month The role of the CMA is to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population. What You'll Do Job responsibilities include the following: Administer vaccines safely and accurately Perform point-of-care testing, including lab tests and ID Now procedures Room patients and prepare them for provider visits Obtain and document vital signs

What We're Looking For Education :

High School or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including:

• CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA)
• RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
• American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA).

If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.

Experience :

Previous work in a medical office, preferred.

Licensure/Certification :

Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required Refer to Life Support Training Policy
