Job Description

Requirements:
Must be good at multi-tasking, be willing to work a flexible schedule, and be able to work with a team. We are a primary care facility in Durham, NC near the intersection of Highway 54 and Highway 55. We have four primary care providers and approximately 4000 active patients. We use an Electronic Medical Record to run the practice, so above average computer skills are required. A basic job description is listed below. Regular office hours are between 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.

8am-4pm After your initial training period (~2 months), you will begin a rotation that includes: 8-9 hours per day, 4 days per week, between 7am and 6pm. Every 4th Friday off work. In total, you would work between 4 and 5 days at an average of 6-8 hours per day. On average, you will work between 32 and 40 hours per week.
Basic Job Description:
Bring patients back to their room, record their vitals, and enter results into the computer. Review demographic/medical information, and record a detailed reason for the visit. Call patients with lab/x-ray/test/etc. results. Send out normal pap letters and CPE reminder cards. Prepare and administer vaccines. Order needed supplies. Triage acute illnesses. Stock patient rooms and bathrooms. Perform urinalyses, strep and flu testing and record results in patient's record. Perform EKG's. Perform nebulizer and spirometry treatments. Perform hearing tests (audiometry tests). Give eye exams, including vision screening and stereopsis. Clean specula and surgical tools. Clean and prepare surgical packs. Clean room after each patient leaves. Phlebotomy skills are preferred, but not required. We are primarily looking for someone who wants to use this position as a platform to gain experience and develop the clinical skills needed to pursue a higher career in medicine.
