The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment, particularly within a Level II Trauma Center. This position requires proficiency in medical terminology, medication administration, and the ability to work effectively with geriatric patients. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for both clinical and administrative tasks that support the smooth operation of our facility. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patient responses. Record vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent information in patient records. Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis. Provide medical administrative support including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures. Utilize coding systems for accurate documentation of patient care services. Collaborate with nursing staff to provide comprehensive care to inpatient populations. Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to various specialties, including geriatrics. Experience in a hospital setting, particularly within a Level II Trauma Center, is preferred. Proficiency in medication administration techniques and vital sign assessment. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and coding practices is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel up to 25% to other locations as required .
