Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient service abilities, and familiarity with various medical settings. As a Medical Assistant, you will support physicians by performing clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth patient flow, and delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems). Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient appointments. Support physicians during procedures by providing assistance with medication administration, X-ray procedures, and other clinical tasks. Perform basic life support (BLS) when needed and monitor patient safety throughout visits. Document patient information accurately using medical terminology and ICD coding for diagnoses. Manage appointment scheduling, follow-up calls, and administrative support to enhance patient service experience. Support inpatient or outpatient care activities across various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine as required. Experience Prior experience working in hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions is essential. Experience in dermatology, emergency medicine, or Level I/II trauma center environments will be considered an asset. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and basic medication administration procedures is required. Previous hospital or inpatient experience in settings such as geriatrics or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) enhances suitability for this role. Demonstrated ability to perform vital signs assessment, ICD coding, X-ray assistance, and other clinical duties efficiently. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred; however, training can be provided for qualified candidates committed to professional growth. Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
