Medical Assistant

Busy pediatric office in search of a friendly and dependable Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities:

Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit. Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary. Occasionally answer phones and schedule appointments as needed Keep supplies ready by inventory/stock, placing orders, verifying receipt Administer medications including injections such as vaccinations Maintain safe, secure, clean and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations Prepare and send referrals

Skills:

Ability to utilize a variety of office equipment and applications Must be able to navigate a variety of interpersonal relationships including other doctor's offices, parents, children, and hospital staff Excellent documentation and analytical skills

Education:

Certified Medical Assistant training or 1 year of experience at a medical office

Job Types:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
