We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and organized Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Goldsboro team. Position Summary The Certified Medical Assistant will support healthcare providers by assisting with patient care, clinical procedures, administrative duties, and overall clinic operations. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences. Essential Responsibilities Clinical Duties Room and prepare patients for appointments Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints Assist providers during examinations and procedures Administer injections and perform clinical tasks within scope of practice Prepare and maintain examination rooms Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection as appropriate Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up instructions Administrative Duties Schedule appointments and manage patient flow Verify patient information and insurance details Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) Process referrals, prior authorizations, and medical documentation as needed Answer phone calls and assist patients with questions General Responsibilities Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Follow infection control and safety procedures Assist with inventory management and supply ordering Support clinic operations and team initiatives Participate in staff meetings and training activities Qualifications Required Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential High school diploma or equivalent Current CPR/BLS certification Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer systems Preferred Minimum 1 year of medical assistant experience Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or specialty care Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply Desired Skills Professional and compassionate bedside manner Excellent organizational skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to providing high-quality patient care Benefits Flexible scheduling Supportive and collaborative work environment Professional development opportunities Opportunity to grow within a multidisciplinary healthcare practice To Apply Please submit: Resume CMA Certification Professional References FMRC is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for patients and staff alike.
