This role is ideal for a compassionate individual with a strong commitment to patient care and efficiency in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
Summary:
The Triage Medical Assistant supports providers by performing clinical and administrative duties with a focus on patient triage, care coordination, and efficient patient flow under the direction of a physician or Clinical Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient intake, including chief complaints and medical history documentation in the EMR. Perform telephone triage, route messages, and communicate with patients, providers, and pharmacies. Prepare exam rooms and ensure all labs, reports, and patient information are available prior to visits. Maintain clean, stocked, and compliant exam rooms; follow infection control and safety protocols. Manage logs (e.g., temperatures, medications, equipment checks) and ensure regulatory compliance. Support scheduling, documentation, and medical record accuracy while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Qualifications & Skills:
CMA or LPN certification preferred. Strong triage, clinical, and patient care skills. Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Proficient in EMR systems and standard clinical procedures.
Education Requirements:
Associates in Medical Assisting required.
Work Environment:
Primary care office setting; full-time, in-person role.
Work Hours:
Monday through Friday, first shift.
Compensation:
Pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on patient care within a supportive healthcare environment.
