$20.00 per hour Join a Team That Makes a Difference Guardian Community Care is a growing home care agency dedicated to helping individuals remain safe, independent, and supported in their homes. We are seeking a dependable, friendly, and detail-oriented Administrative & Medical Support Assistant who can confidently manage front‑office operations and assist with clinical support tasks such as drug testing and specimen handling. Schedule:
Monday through Friday 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Approximately 30 hours per week In-person role located in Knightdale, NC What You'll Do This dual-role position supports both administrative operations and basic medical/lab functions.
Front Desk & Administrative Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and caregivers Greet guests warmly and maintain a professional, welcoming office environment Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries with professionalism and care Maintain the office calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings Maintain employee and client records Support onboarding, credentialing, and training activities Perform data entry and maintain accurate documentation Verify insurance eligibility (Medicare, Medicaid, private plans) Assist with special projects and daily office operations
Medical/Lab Support Responsibilities:
Assist with urine drug screens and specimen collection Properly label, document, and handle specimens Maintain chain-of-custody documentation Prepare specimens for transport or pickup Follow all safety, confidentiality, and compliance protocols Maintain a clean and organized testing area Support clinical staff with basic medical assistant tasks as needed

We're seeking someone who is dependable, organized, and committed to excellent customer service — someone who can balance administrative duties with hands-on clinical support.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree or medical assistant training preferred Experience with drug testing, specimen handling, or lab procedures strongly preferred Previous administrative experience required Healthcare, home care, or medical office experience preferred Experience with HHA Exchange is a plus Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, email systems) Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to handle confidential information professionally Self-motivated and able to work independently Positive attitude and willingness to learn Why Join Guardian Community Care?
