Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our quality driven healthcare team. Our ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and assist primary care providers in daily patient care focused on quality outcomes and will help ensure smooth clinic workflows, accurate documentation, and a positive patient experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a primary care environment where you can make a difference in your patients' health outcomes. The ideal candidate is proactive, compassionate, and eager to contribute to high-quality primary healthcare delivery. Duties Perform patient intake procedures including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Assist with clinical tasks like medication administration, wound dressing changes, and basic life support in emergency situations. Support physicians and advanced practice providers with in office procedures and specimen collection. Maintain accurate electronic health record (EHR) documentation of patient encounters, diagnoses (ICD coding), and treatment plans. Prepare examination rooms for patient visits by ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies. Manage administrative responsibilities including medication prior authorizations, form completion, lab and test result notifications, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient check-in/out processes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics or hospital systems to optimize patient flow and care quality. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to chronic conditions management including, but not limited to Diabetes, Hypertension, Etc. Proven experience supporting primary care and quality outcomes. Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation and ICD coding for diagnoses. Ability to perform clinical skills such as vital signs measurement, medication administration (including injections), and basic life support certification. Excellent communication skills for effective patient service and team collaboration across various healthcare settings. Knowledge of and ability to perform Phlebotomy.
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
