Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Clinic Certified Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic operations. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks like administering medications, drawing X-rays, and supporting procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings. Support patient care by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing inventory of medical supplies. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to accurately document patient information, ICD coding, and treatment details for seamless recordkeeping. Conduct basic life support (BLS) measures when necessary and respond effectively to emergency situations within the clinic or hospital environment. Support administrative functions including appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, insurance verification, and medication administration documentation. Experience Prior clinic experience in outpatient or hospital settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, ICD coding practices, X-ray operations, and medication administration protocols. Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as urgent care clinics or hospital emergency departments. Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is required; additional certifications like Basic Life Support (BLS) are highly valued. $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
