Job description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including medical offices, urgent care facilities, and hospitals. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to assist with both routine and critical care tasks. The Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical regulations. Assist in urgent situations by triaging patients based on their needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and health management strategies. Ensure cleanliness and organization of medical office or clinical settings. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
