Job Description A growing integrated primary care center in Eastern NC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support a high-impact, patient-centered clinic environment. Responsibilities Room and prepare patients; collect vitals and medical history Perform phlebotomy, lab coordination, and urine sample collection Administer injections in clinic and at local group homes Travel to partner group homes for sample collection and patient support Manage front office tasks including scheduling, phone triage, and closing procedures Maintain clinic cleanliness, stock supplies, and support daily operations Work independently at times when provider is offsite We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements Certified Medical Assistant (completed program with diploma + hands-on clinical experience) Experience working in either: Mental/behavioral health clinics OR Serving underserved/lower socioeconomic patient populations Strong phlebotomy skills and experience with lab collection Ability to work independently in a clinic setting when provider is offsite Experience with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks, Epic, Cerner, Athena, or similar) High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities Comfortable with travel to group homes for patient care (samples, injections, etc.) Strong interpersonal skills with ability to accept feedback and work closely with a provider Flexible and team-oriented mindset (no two days are the same) Direct experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting Experience in collaborative care models Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or Tebra (Kareo) Experience supporting group homes, residential facilities, or community-based care Prior experience administering injections outside of a traditional clinic setting Background working with government payer populations (Medicaid/Medicare-heavy) Experience ramping with or supporting a startup or growing practice
