, andJoin the OrthoNC Clinical Team Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina is seeking 1 Full-Time Certified/ Registered Medical Assistant to work within our physician practice. We offer a unique work environment promoting personal and professional growth; and an excellent benefit package with a competitive salary. The position is full-time (32 hours per week) with varying hours based on clinic and surgical schedule. The provider team has clinic 4-5 days a week. This clinical role operates out of our Wakefield and Henderson offices. What You'll Do Assist providers in providing quality medical care Meet and greet patients while escorting to exam room Complete triage process and ensure all information is documented in EHR, Athena Wound care including removing sutures/staples, dressing changes, etc. Administrative tasks including answering and returning patient phone calls, chart prep, disability paperwork etc. Completing prior authorizations At the direction of the supervising physician, perform appropriate point of care testing and order appropriate diagnostic testing or follow-up care. DME fitting Preparing injections Chart prep Promote patient/family understanding of the educational content and his/her involvement in the plan of care, and document in patient record. Follow all state and federal regulations including HIPAA and OSHA. Other duties will be assigned by management as needed What We're Looking For Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from an AAMA-accredited program or equivalent 0-5 years of experience as a medical assistant Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple clinical workflows efficiently Team-oriented with a strong commitment to patient-centered care Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Enthusiastic about learning and continuous improvement Required Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant from an AAMA-accredited program or equivalent preferred Clinical experience required Orthopedic experience preferred but not required Preferred Education & Experience Associate's degree or higher in a related field CPR/BLS certification Orthopedic or musculoskeletal clinic experience Casting proficiency (as clinically required) Experience with Athena EMR preferred Additional Requirements Valid Driver's License Why OrthoNC OrthoNC is a premier, multi-specialty orthopedic group with multiple locations throughout the Triangle.
