Job Description
Job Overview Join a dynamic private practice surgery center as a Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly impact patient care and operational excellence. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Support clinical procedures by preparing sterile fields, assisting during minor surgeries, and managing medical supplies. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information, treatment plans, and procedural notes. Administer medications or injections under supervision while adhering to safety protocols and medication administration guidelines. Conduct basic diagnostic tasks such as X-ray imaging or assisting with ultrasound procedures when necessary. Ensure all clinical areas are maintained in a clean, organized state following infection control standards. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, offering reassurance, and facilitating smooth patient flow throughout the clinic. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, geriatrics, and hospital medicine to support inpatient and outpatient care needs. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or surgical centers; hospital or clinic experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate documentation and efficient workflow management. Ability to perform intake assessments, measure vital signs accurately, and assist with medication administration. Experience supporting dermatology & aesthetic procedures or surgical interventions is highly desirable.
