Certified Medical Assistant

MD Psychiatry & Emotional Health is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and highly organized Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team at a new practice location. This is a dynamic role that combines clinical support, front office responsibilities, and community outreach/marketing activities to help establish and grow our presence within the local healthcare community. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys patient interaction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable balancing administrative, clinical, and business development responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:

Daily interactions with new and established patients via in-person, phone, fax and messaging communication Assisting with Prior Authorizations Documentation and Form Completion Prepare patient information/records Insurance verification Coordinate laboratory orders, UDS orders, referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription-related request Ensure compliance with HIPPA and all applicable healthcare regulations Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, schools, employers, and community organizations Support referral tracking and outreach efforts to help grow the practice Benefits Health, dental, and vision benefits Malpractice and liability insurance Paid time off and holiday pay CEU/professional development annual stipend Clinical supervision reimbursement (as applicable) Group credentialing Quarterly productivity incentives Dedicated workspace/office Supportive and collaborative work environment Qualifications Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1 year of medical office experience preferred. Prior behavioral health, psychiatry, or outpatient healthcare experience preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and adapt to the evolving needs of a growing practice. Reliable transportation for occasional community outreach and marketing activities.
